!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Yet another of my car’s siblings, a manual 325 wagon, appears on the most inflated of markets, Bring a Trailer. Yet, it is a market nonetheless. Should I just be polishing my car, fixing all the little details on it and cashing in on the Manual Wagon Craze? It’s at $4,600 with two whole days left! I doubt I’d get half that in my local market.
Nah, I’ll just keep driving it, and ignoring all of its imperfections. Mechanically, I’ll keep it up. But it’s a driver. It’s a kid / ski / bike / trash / dog hauler. Let it live its best life....
I should probably wash it, though.
Don’t worry, I’ll keep driving it like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Precisely. I’ll keep enjoying it by driving it like a lunatic all winter.

The BaT price sounds low for my area for anything that runs/drives well enough to commute in.

That’s cleaner than most of the cars you see in New England right now. I have no idea how long it’s been since it was washed, but that could easily be less than a week of salt build up.

Good plan.

Exactly, it’s actually been sitting for a week - the last snow melted off and “washed” it pretty well compared to our Volvo which was driven right through the worst of it and also all week - I’d post a picture but it’s probably NSFOppo

Yeah, definitely keep driving it.
I heard a story about Brock Yates daily driving his Ford GT before he got sick. Someone questioned all the miles and wear and tear he was putting on such an expensive car. He ba lked at that and said something to the effect of, ‘I love driving this car. When this one gets worn out, I’ll just by another one from some sucker who saved it for me.’

Definitely keep driving it like that.

A ship in a harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are for.
I’m currently driving my 4runner with a nearly perfectly clean frame in the salt. I know. It hurts.

If you like driving it just keep driving it. Unless there’s something you want to replace it with I’d ignore the bring a trailer prices.

Bingo. It’s interesting to see these prices though. Sometimes I’m tempted to sell it while it’s in as good of shape as it is, and just have one less mouth to feed. I could drive our Volvo wagon every day. But this car doesn’t cost much to keep around, I’m putting less than 10k miles on it per year, and I love it! It’s also very nice to have a third car for logistics when we both need to have a car every single day.
